Sofia Coppola’s recently released Priscilla was one of my favorite films of 2023. I think Coppola creates such special work, and I am admittedly a huge fan of The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette. She is great at depicting loneliness and isolation, especially the kind of isolation that can look so glamorous from the outside.
